August 6th - 13th

What a week!! Busy, busy, busy on both lakes with a lot of fish, many PB's broken and great atmosphere altogether!

On the big lake a group of 5 friends, including the duo Terry and Simon Hofgartner, plus John (fishing only for 8 hours) managed to land 70 fish out of 75 runs as follows - 19 x 20's, 32 x 30's, 12 x 40's up to 49lb, a 56 ¾lb and 6 cats up to 35lb. Top rod of the week - Simon Hofgartner - with 22 fish, 20 carp up to 49lb and 2 cats up to 35lb. According to Simon - 'This one has to be my best trip to date, managed to break my personal best twice in 10 minutes! Every time I come back the fishing gets better and better and enjoyed everything about the week!'

The cat lake saw  some action too, booked by two other anglers for 6 days, they ended up with sore arms and plenty of fish. Oli Wardell banked 25 catfish up to 75lb (2 x 70's, 3 x 60's, 3 x 50's) plus 52 carp up to 27lb (and then stopped counting!). His friend, Rob, put 18 cats on the bank up to 49lb (4 of them being over 40lb) and 51 carp up to 30lb and stopped counting too! 4 anglers from the big lake tried their luck on the small lake for one day, sharing 3 rods amongst themselves, and banking 6 cats - 2 x 30lb, 40lb, 51lb, 59 ½lb & 66lb. The total tally for this lake for the week - 103 carp and 49 cats!! Not a bad weeks fishing! Surprised
