Superb week! 45lb at the death, doubles partner had a hatful!! Great banter, nice weather, great company. Would recommend to anyone... happy days!!

Our first trip to Etang des Royales and we have all had a great time. The meals have been first class and in a very friendly atmosphere. I have beaten my Pb with a 52 ½lb mirror which has made my trip. We have already booked our trip for next year. John and Ben have been fantastic with all the lads with the banter and advice. This really is a special place with special people and I very much look forward to coming back next year!

Well what can I say? What an epic week! Opening week and the lake has yet again opened its heart to me and us... smashing my PB twice with a great 57 ¼lb! But not only that, another 50lb, 6 x 40's and lost count how many large 30's! Well, thanks a lot John and Ben for another amazing week. Still aching to come back and catch the monster Double Linear!

Absolutely amazing, unfortunately the week had to end prematurely but I had the two best days of fishing in my life ever! Monster catfish and great company. John and Ben are legends and I willl never forget the conveyor belt of death! Can't wait for next time.

Catch return: 30 ½lb and 38lb carp from the big lake and 14 cats in 2 nights fishing.

What can I say really ... except what a brilliant weeks fishing with good laughs and good fish. Had my PB, 43lb common, so over the moon. Will be back again for sure, till then watch this space!

It's unfortunately time to write in the comments book, for the first time this week I am struggling to find the words after all the good banther with Cat Weasel and Benny Boy! Every fish a personal best, plus plenty of them. Good grub, great weather and I have learnt more about fishing in the last week than I have in the last 10 years. Many thanks to the Hoffys. Time to go home and find some Brothel creepers!!!

Once again an absolutely fantastic week and equally fantastic company. The hospitality afforded to us  this week has been second to none. To crown the week we all had the pleasure of seeing an awesome 68lb carp in the net, a sight I will never forget. John, Ben and Magda, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all!

My second visit to Royales, little did I expect to better last year. 1st customer of the year again, cannot be the only one on the lake second year running!! High pressure and hard overnight frosts early in the week knocked my confidence but some friendly advice put me back on track and after a fish and a decision to rest the swim during the day, the week's result turned around with the fish getting bigger and bigger. Cannot fault it, great service, magnificent fish, cannot wait for next year.

Thanks John and Ben, what a great week! Thanks for all the advice you gave to us all. I wish my wife could cook like John (what a great cook). Be back as soon as possible to see if John still has his Dunces hat!!
