The rules here at Etang Des Royales - "The Royal Lake" - are very simple and are in place for the benefit of all our guests.

•  The sacking of fish is strictly forbidden.
•  A maximum of 3 rods allowed.
•  Particles and pellets can only be used if purchased on site.
•  No nuts of any description to be used.
•  No tether rigs allowed.
•  Leaders can be used only if they are under 17lb breaking strain.
•  No baited rods to be unattended.
•  All fish to be returned, unharmed, as quickly as possible. See our handling section for more information.
• Landing nets must be a minimum of 50"
• Use unhooking mats provided
•  No boats of any description to be used.
•  A minimum of 15lb main line to be used.
•  Litter bags will be provided, please use them and return to lodge as necessary.
• Never leave rods on the bank or rod rests with hooks still baited, as these food items could be and will be picked up by our birds or animals.
• Please avoid casting into other anglers' swims, or distance casting that stops other anglers from fishing areas of a water normally accessible from their swim.
•  Please respect other anglers, guests and all wildlife.
